All
part descriptions consist of either four or five fields
(fifth field is for Waveguide parts only).
| Example: |
CX |
07.000-08.570 |
ICW |
SMSFT |
| |
1 |
2 |
3 |
4 |
|
| 1 |
The first field indicates the style of the
device.
Coaxial (CX), Waveguide (WG), or Drop-In (DI)
|
2 |
The second field indicates the frequency span
in GHz.
In our example, the
frequency span is 07.000GHz to 08.570GHz
|
3 |
The third field describes whether it is a
Circulator or an Isolator
(terminated Circulator) and
sense of circulation (clockwise or counter-clockwise)
Circulator (C) or Isolator
(I) Clockwise
(CW) or Counter-Clockwise (CC)
|
| 4 |
This field offers information about the interface
(connector type, termination, etc.) at each
port, starting with the upper left side (Port
A), then advancing clockwise.
SMA Connector (S) or
Type N Connector (N)
Male (M) or Female (F)
Termination (T), Removable (R), Flange (F),
or 1-inch Connector (1)
|
WG
Only |
The fifth field (only used in Waveguide Parts)
indicates the hole type used.
Alternating Holes (A),
Tapped Holes (T), Clearance Holes (C),
or Termination (TERM)
|
|
Based
on our example (CX 07.000-08.570 ICW SMSFT), we now
know that this part is a Coaxial device operating
between 7.00 and 8.57GHz, and that it is an Isolator
circulating in a Clockwise direction, with an SMA
Male Connector on the input port (Port A), an SMA
Female Connector on the output port (Port B), and
a Termination on the remaining port (Port C).
